By the grace of Allah (God), we are excited to announce the launch of one of the world’s first technology-based Muslim mental wellness initiatives, Tawakkul.

Tawakkul (Arabic: تَوَكُّل‎) in the Arabic language, is the word for the Islamic concept of the reliance on God or “trusting in God’s plan”.

We are starting Tawakkul for a very simple reason: to support the wellness, happiness, and faith of Muslims across the world. We know many Muslims struggle with mental health-related challenges — and COVID only made things harder for us. Whether that is because of loss of jobs, life or family members, certainty about our lives, or our deen.

Muslims look at the world differently and that includes how we take care of our mental health and how we view challenges and opportunities in our lives. We felt like it was an absolute necessity to create this initiative in order to cater to the 1.8 billion Muslims through their wellness journeys.

Tawakkul intends to build scalable, accessible, and affordable products that empower Muslims to live happier and healthier lives.

We are starting by launching Tawakkul’s #30DaysofTawakkul Text-based service. You can sign up here: www.tawakkul.io!

Sign up to receive daily messages for your wellness and faith starting this Ramadan! Messages include meditation and mindfulness links, hadith (traditions from stories of the Prophet Muhammad), kindness challenges, and dua (prayer).
